Chubby Checker is an icon with 36 hit records, had the first platinum single ever, was the first artist to receive a Grammy Award for best rock and roll recording, had the #1 single for the entire decade of the 60s, as well as five albums (60 songs) in the Top 12 all at the same time. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in November 2025, he was recently celebrated for his influence on dance music and rock, having sold an astounding 250 million records to date.
