Five-time Grammy Award winners, The Swingles, have been challenging the boundaries of electronic vocal music for over 60 years, reimagining jazz, folk, pop and classical music with a combination of close-microphone amplification paired with extraordinary range and vocal dexterity. The layering of vocals using live-looping to produce mesmeric and massive musical textures defines their signature sound. The group has released more than 50 albums fueled by founder Ward Swingle’s pioneering spirit and varied musical tastes. They have appeared on film and TV soundtracks including Grey’s Anatomy, Sex and the City, Wedding Crashers and Glee. The group’s latest album, Theatreland, was released in 2024.
